how did you manage to save your annotations?

i get the annot rect, the annot , the page it is in, but i am unable to save it using core data and sql,,, what did you use and how?

Can we get a complete iOS example on how to extract the text of both a highlight and underline annotation? Since it is a common task, we can make that into an extension so the whole community can benefit

Hi,

you can get annot text only in OnSelEnd method (when you select the text).
Otherwise you can only get the annot rect (for highlight, underline...)

I am looking to process the annotations without user interaction. The API is unclear how to extract the text from annotation rectangle. Shouldn't this be possible?

unfortunately, the SDK doesn't allow to extract text from markup annotation.
you can extract text from annotations like links or text annotation
