I need to have a different selection behaviour. Waiting 3 seconds to select text is definitely too long and unhandy. Is there a way too change that? Best would be a toggle button like in Acrobat Reader.

this is the default behaviour, if you want you can change it, you have to implement it in native Android in the demo project and compile for Cordova or Xamarin.

you should also take a look at the updated version of the module; both Cordova and Xamarin modules now can toggle the selection with a toolbar button.
