two months ago my colleague (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) opened a bug-ticket, that a certain pdf is not rendering correctly (attachements: pdf and screenshot of incorrect rendering (black rectangle)).
Your support told him, that you fixed the issue and gave a version with the fix to him (I don't know if he checked your version then and he is not available anymore).
I updated our project now to 3.15.3 and the issue is still present.
I tested with your 3.15.3 Sample and even with the 4.0beta Sample, issue still present.
As we thought the issue is resolved, we planned on rolling out the fix this week. Can you take a quick look? Did something not transfer to production code?

I'll get in touch with you on the trouble ticket platform: it seems that no one from your side was confirming it and the fix (which was a workaround because of some bad encoded PDF never go into production).
