Issue with pre-existing hyperlink

A pdf is having pre-existing(hyperlink annotation burnt on the pdf) rectangle hyperlink annotation.
Now , I have created a hyperlink rectangle on the top of the pre-existing rectangle hyperlink.
When tapped on the top hyperlink annotation , the uri returned is that of the pre-existing hyperlink and not the hyperlink annotation created on the top of the pre-existing hyperlink..
Ideally the uri returned should be of the hyperink created on the top of the pre-existing hyperlink but instead it is returning the uri of the pre-existing hyperlink annotation.
