Support for attaching and extracting files?

Is there already support for attaching files to a PDF document? If so, I couldn't find it in the documentation. I don't want to attach a file as an annotation on a page, but rather attach files to the PDF itself (so it's not visible on any page), and then be able to extract the files from the PDF later.

For example, we would create a PDF and attach a file that contains data used to create the PDF, share the PDF with another user, then extract the file from the PDF containing the original data.

Unfortunately we do not support this feature..
We support only attachments annotations
