Currently, the Android SDK is pretty difficult to integrate into existing applications. It would be very nice to distribute the library as a JAR which could be easily integrated into an existing Android project. Additionally, the JAR could be uploaded to a maven repository and easily added to a Gradle or Maven build.

Currently, the upgrade process is very difficult as we have to copy many files into the resources directory, as well as copying values into the strings.xml, etc. This could be much easier with an Android shared library!

any thoughts as to whether this is possible?

we will evaluate your request, but for now you can use the demo project as a library to avoid copying the contents every time you need to update

Maven support will be a good way to integrate your library into existing project...please consider to add this feature

We're evaluating to support Maven but aren't able to provide you a specific timeframe right now.

Would gradle support be most useful for Android Studio?
It would be way more convenience if we could load the PDF library just by adding a single line in build.gradle
